Local processing. Nothing phones home.
Xtrakt does not talk to any server of its own. It intercepts the caption data YouTube already sends to your browser and does everything — indexing, search, export, reading — locally.
There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and the entire source is public under the MIT license. Do not take our word for it: read the code.
- All processing happens in your browser
- No analytics, no tracking, no accounts
- No API keys, no external requests
- Open source — MIT license, auditable by anyone
